If you have been reading my articles for a long time you know that I have been preaching about great keyword research. If you have been reading all the articles you will know that I believe keyword research to be one of the most important tools in your toolbox.
It is a difficult task to find your target audience and to gain your target audience trust. The whole process can seem like a battle, but a winnable one. The whole process can be summed up as “The longer you can keep them at bay, the more money you make.” It takes a lot of time to do the task well and you will spend most of that time working on your competitor research.
How to get started with Keyword Research
If you are brand new to SEO then all you really need is good content and long tail keyword research. The way I like to see this is to go to Google and do a search for “best new restaurants” or “best restaurants” or “best chef” or whatever keyword you are going to target. You want to be in the first page results. This means that you need to start with the long tail keyword. I like to try and stick with keywords that I know people are looking for and are highly competitive.
I like to choose long tail keywords that have 2 or 3 words. I don’t use all the letters in my keyword because that is your keyword. Google will pick it up if you use all the letters. You can see what I am talking about by doing this search. Just Google “best restaurants in Seattle” or “chefs in Seattle” or whatever keyword you want. The most searched for a restaurant in Seattle is La Parrilla. You can see that the keyword is full of letters. The other 3 letters are used up. The first word is a verb and the second word is a noun. You have to have 3 or 4 words to really stand out. The keyword is “best restaurants in Seattle”.
Once you have your long tail keyword, what you do is go to Google and do a search on “search engines” This will bring up all the search engines. You want to find Google itself because this is where Google is going to make most of your money. The whole point is to get a better search engine. That is what the whole thing is about. The better search engine you get the more search engine traffic you get.
You can find this directly by Google. Go to Google and Google “search engines”. You will see many results. You can leave the results section empty. Don’t worry about it. Just click on the little green question mark icon that appears. It will bring you to a page with a list of the results and you will click on the last result and it will take you to the next step. It will be the first page. The whole process is a Google process.
You can do the whole thing through the web browser and then download your results. This will give you the statistics from several sites in one file. Once you have your list of keywords you can use this file to make any search you want.
So, download your results and then download through your favourite download program the keywords in your file. This will give you an unlimited number of keywords for each file and you can change your keywords whenever you want. It is as easy as that. As a matter of fact, a lot of people actually prefer that method because you are not limited with space and you can do anything you want with the keywords at any time.
To use this in practice you need a program that will manage your keyword file. That is OK and you can also make your own. You can use the program and the keywords file to get the best results. And if you can get the results you want for your keywords and you are using the keywords with the right density it will be even more effective. You do not need to use all the keywords you like. You can use some other keywords in the program to get a better result.
For example, if you like keywords with low density you can choose them. You can use it for a week and then you can use some other keywords that have more keywords in them. In fact, that is how search engines work. The keywords get repeated from site to site as they are preferred.
So, the key in your keyword file should have one or two keywords or keywords with two or three words. Do not repeat more than 3 words per word or you will get a better result.
The other key in your keyword file should be a keyword with the same meaning but a different density. So, you can put a keyword with a different meaning in the keyword file if you know the density of that keyword. You can use the same words again or different words again in a keyword file. The program will tell you the density of the keyword or keyword phrases. In practice, the density will be higher than in the density of the keywords file.
The search engines are also looking for keyword density in the whole document. And you should also be careful about the density of the keywords in the whole document. When you are posting your materials on the Web they will also use the keywords to rank your material.
It is good to use the same keyword in the whole document and you can use them again as many times as you want. When you are using your keywords in the search engine they will then give your site a higher rank. In the case you make your keywords density high it will give you a high rank and in the process will rank the keywords in your material also. Therefore, as the materials get ranked higher it will rank the material also.
